What we collect, and why.

Short, because the site does very little. If anything here is unclear, ask and it will be answered plainly.

01

What this site collects

Only what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give it, which of the three situations you selected, and your message. Nothing else.

There are no cookies, no analytics, and no trackers. The site does not know who you are, does not follow you between visits, and does not build a profile of you. If you never use the form, the studio never learns anything about you.

02

Why

To reply to you. That is the only reason it is asked for and the only thing it is used for. It is never sold, rented, or given to anyone for their own purposes, and it is not added to a mailing list — if the studio ever starts one, joining it will be a separate decision you make on purpose.

03

Who else handles it

The form is delivered by Formspree, which passes your message to the studio’s inbox. Formspree operates in the United States, so a message sent through this form is processed outside Canada and is subject to the laws there.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, it records ordinary request logs, which include IP addresses. Those logs belong to Cloudflare and are used to serve and protect the site.

If you would rather not use the form at all, email hello@newmatterstudio.com directly.

04

How long it is kept

Enquiries are kept while the studio is in touch with you and for as long as there is a working relationship. After that they are deleted. You can ask for yours to be removed at any point, including straight away.

05

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law you can ask what the studio holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@newmatterstudio.com and you will get an answer within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
